Viacheslav Dinerchtein has performed as a soloist with orchestras, in recitals, and in chamber music concerts across North and South America, Europe, and Asia, with appearances at numerous prestigious venues, including the Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, the Spoleto Music Festival, and Palacio de Bellas Artes, as well as at numerous International Viola Congresses.

A dedicatee of several viola compositions by award-winning composers, Dinerchtein is highly regarded for his commitment to promoting overlooked viola repertoire. His recording of Viola Sonatas by Mieczyslaw Weinberg (Solo Musica / Sony Music) was nominated for the 2020 International Classical Music Awards, with critical acclaim from The Strad, Gramophone, and Das Orchester magazines. He is the president of the Swiss Viola Society and an author of several viola editions for Ovation Press, Peermusic Classical and Amadeus Verlag. 

Born in Minsk, Belarus, Dinerchtein grew up in Mexico before continuing his studies in the USA. He studied with his father Boris Dinerchtein, Joseph de Pasquale (MM, Peabody Conservatory), and Roland Vamos (DMA, Northwestern University). Today, he resides in Zurich with his wife and four children. In addition to his musical career, Viacheslav is also a FIDE-certified chess trainer and a semi-professional card magician.
